Two people, two dogs, one truck.

Hello — we are Jay and Julia Brock, and we are the reason there is now a doggie ice cream truck in Palm Coast.

Why we did this

Our mission is to create moments of pure joy for pets and their owners by offering premium, lactose-free, dog-friendly ice cream and treats. What we actually care about is the longer thing underneath that: health, happiness, and a bit of bonding time that belongs to you and your dog and nobody else.

We are recent transplants from Northern New Jersey who absolutely love Florida life. We have two amazing kids, both at Florida universities and both in the military — Carleigh in the Army and Nathan in the Navy.

When we came across Salty Paws, we knew it was an opportunity we could not pass up. We have always loved dogs and felt drawn to owning a doggie ice cream truck. Salty Paws is the first mobile ice cream shop created especially for dogs. Spoiling our four-legged friends is a way we can give back to them for their endless unconditional love, cuddles and kisses.

Although we have had many furry family members throughout our lives, we now have two fur-babies. Cody is six years old, a Pittie/Boxer mix who came to us during covid as a foster — we happily failed and ended up gaining an amazing family member. Lucy is an English Mastiff puppy, an extra-large bundle of love. We hope she will grow up to be a therapy dog.

We are excited to get to know the doggie families in this community. Come say hello at the window.

Regulars

Customers, mid-Pup-Cup. This is roughly what a Tuesday looks like.

A dog in a blue harness taking dog ice cream from a spoon at the truck.
A beagle licking a cup of dog ice cream topped with biscuit pieces.
A puppy licking a cup of vanilla dog ice cream.

Where we run

The truck covers Palm Coast, Flagler Beach and St. Augustine. Salty Paws is a franchise — there are trucks in other states and a corporate office behind them — but this one is ours, and the person handing your dog a cup is one of us.
