Why it is sized to the dog

A Chihuahua and a Mastiff should not get the same box. The size you pick above is meant to change what goes in it and how much — that is why the counts move when you change it — though which five things end up in a box, and how many of each, is still being worked out.

The app already stores your dog’s size, birthday and anything they cannot eat. The intention is for the box to read that record so you never fill this in twice, and for the box that lands in your dog’s birthday month to come with a pupcake in it.

On allergies. Nothing here is packed yet, so we are not going to promise you a process that does not exist. What we can tell you is how it works at the window today: whatever is on your dog’s record is on our screen before anyone scoops, and we work around it. The box will be held to the same rule, and we will say so plainly here once it is.

What we can and cannot tell you yet

The Paw Pack is not running. These are honest answers about where it stands.

Can I order one today?

No. There is no checkout on this page and no card field, because there is nothing to charge for yet. Joining the list puts your dog’s size on a note and gets you one email when the boxes are ready.

Are those the real prices?

No. They are samples, so you can see the shape of the thing. The real numbers go out in that email before anything is ever charged, and you can walk away at that point with no hard feelings.

Is that the real list of contents?

The five things shown are real products off the truck, photographed on the truck. Which five actually go in a box, and how many, is not settled — that is what the counts being samples means.

How would it reach me?

Not decided. We run Palm Coast, Flagler Beach and St. Augustine, so dropping boxes ourselves is the obvious option, but we are not going to state delivery areas or costs before we have worked them out.

Is any of it safe for a dog who cannot do dairy?

The ice cream is lactose free — that is the whole reason it exists. The bakery items are baked for dogs rather than for people. If your dog has a specific allergy, say so when we email you — Jay or Julia will tell you exactly what is in anything before you commit to a box.

Can I still visit the truck if I subscribe?

Please do. The box is for the weeks we are not on your street. It does not replace the walk to the window, and paws on your punch card still only come from the truck.
