Questions people actually ask.
Mostly at the window, usually while the dog is already eating.
About the treats
Is ice cream actually safe for a dog?
People ice cream is not, and that is the whole reason this truck exists. Ours is a powdered, lactose-free mix made for dogs, so it does not hit them the way dairy does. It is still a treat, not dinner — one cup, not four. If you want the full ingredient list for anything on the truck, ask at the window and Jay or Julia will read it to you.
What flavours do you have?
Maple Bacon, Vanilla, Prime Rib and Peanut Butter. Peanut Butter and Maple Bacon go fastest. The bakery case changes more often than the ice cream does.
My dog has allergies. Can they have anything?
Usually yes — tell us what it is. Put it on your dog’s record in the app and it shows on our screen when you check in, so whoever is scooping already knows before you have to explain it in a queue.
Can puppies have it? Senior dogs?
Puppies over about twelve weeks, in a small portion. Senior dogs are usually fine too. If your dog is on a restricted diet or being treated for something, ask your vet first — we would rather you did.
Can I eat it?
It will not hurt you. It is also unsalted, unsweetened and made for an animal that eats grass on purpose. People do ask. People are then disappointed.
Finding the truck
Where is the truck right now?
The front page says whether we are out, and the app puts us on a live map that moves as the truck moves. If the app says we are off the road, we are off the road — we would rather tell you that than have you drive out to an empty kerb.
What area do you cover?
Palm Coast, Flagler Beach and St. Augustine. If you are just outside that and you are booking an event, ask anyway.
Do you take cards?
Yes — cards and contactless at the window, and cash if you have it.
What is the punch card?
Every visit earns your dog a paw. Ten paws earns a free treat. It lives in the app rather than on paper, so a new phone or a trip through the washing machine never costs you a stamp. One paw per dog per visit.
Events and deliveries
How do I book the truck?
Fill in the event form or ring 386-346-5737. Tell us the date, roughly how many dogs, and where we would park. We usually come back the same day.
How far ahead should I book?
Two to three weeks is comfortable. Weekends in spring and autumn go first. Ask about a short-notice date anyway — sometimes we are free.
What is the Paw Pack?
A box of treats off the truck, sized to your dog, delivered every four or eight weeks for the weeks we cannot be on your street. Here is what is in it.
Do you do fundraisers for rescues?
We do. Ask about a share of the day going back to the organisation when you send the event form over.
