Terms of Service — Salty Paws App

The short version

The app is free. Ten paws earns a free treat.
Stamps are awarded by staff at the truck — one per visit, no cash value.
Map and schedule are our best information, not a promise the truck will be there.
Treat notes are a convenience, not a safety system. Always tell staff about your dog's allergies out loud.

1. The app

The Salty Paws app is provided free by Salty Paws Palm Coast ("we", "us") to help you find our truck and take part in our loyalty program. You need an account to collect stamps, and you agree to give accurate information when you create one. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your password to yourself.

2. Where the truck is

The map and schedule show our best current information. Weather, traffic, mechanical trouble, and how fast we sell out all change the day.

A stop on the schedule is a plan, not a guarantee. A live position on the map can also be out of date — phones lose signal, and the app marks a position stale after twenty minutes. Please don't make a long trip on the strength of a pin without checking with us first.

3. Your dog's health and what they eat

This is the part worth reading twice.

The app lets you save treat notes for each dog, including allergies. Staff can see those notes when they scan your code, and we do our best to act on them.

Those notes are a convenience, not a safety system. They can be out of date, mistyped, or missed on a busy night. Always tell staff about allergies and dietary restrictions in person, every visit. You remain responsible for deciding what your dog eats.

Our products are treats for dogs, not a complete diet, and they are not veterinary food. They are not intended for humans or for other animals. If your dog has a medical condition, is on a prescription diet, or you are unsure whether a treat suits them, ask your veterinarian first. If your dog has a reaction to something bought from us, stop feeding it and contact a vet.

4. The loyalty program

Earning. Staff award a stamp at the truck when you show your code. One stamp per visit — the app declines a second scan within a short window.
Rewards. When your card fills, a free treat is added to your account automatically. Redeem it at the window any time after that.
No cash value. Stamps and rewards have no monetary value, cannot be sold, transferred, or exchanged for cash, and are not your property.
One account per person. Accounts created to farm stamps may be closed and their rewards voided.
Corrections. We may remove stamps or rewards issued in error, or obtained by fraud or a fault in the app. Rewards you have already redeemed stay redeemed.
Changes. We may change how many stamps a reward takes, or what the reward is. Changes apply going forward and we will not take away a reward you have already earned.
Ending the program. If we ever discontinue the loyalty program, we will give reasonable notice so you can redeem what you have.

5. Using the app properly

Please don't attempt to award yourself stamps, tamper with the app or our servers, use another person's account or loyalty code, or use the app to harass our staff. We may suspend or close an account for any of these.

6. Staff accounts

Staff accounts can award stamps, redeem rewards, and broadcast the truck's location. They are for employees of Salty Paws Palm Coast acting in that role, and every stamp records who awarded it. If you leave the business, your access is removed.

7. Closing your account

You can delete your account in the app at any time. Doing so permanently erases your profile, your dogs, and your stamp and reward history, including any unredeemed rewards. We may also close an account that breaks these terms.

8. The app is provided as-is

We work to keep the app accurate and available, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and it may be unavailable during maintenance or an outage. To the fullest extent the law allows, the app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, and our liability arising from your use of the app is limited to the amount you paid for it — which is nothing.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and material changes will be flagged in the app. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of Flagler County, Florida.
