Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Salty Paws mobile app and this website. It describes exactly what the app stores, because we would rather tell you plainly than bury it.
The short version
- We collect your name, email, your dogs' details, and your stamp history. That's it.
- We do not sell your data, and there are no ads or third-party trackers in the app.
- We never collect your location. The map shows the truck's location, sent by staff.
- QR scanning happens on the device. No photos are uploaded or kept.
- You can delete your account, and everything attached to it, from inside the app.
Who we are
The Salty Paws app is operated by Salty Paws Palm Coast ("we", "us"), a doggie ice cream truck serving Palm Coast, Florida. Questions about this policy go to info@ericolsen.studio.
What we collect, and why
Everything below is listed because the app genuinely stores it. Nothing is collected "just in case".

What we do not collect
- Your location. The map shows where the truck is — a position the staff device sends while the truck is out. If you allow location access, your position is used on your device to centre the map and show how far away the truck is. It is never sent to us and never stored.
- Photos from your camera. Staff use the camera to scan a customer's loyalty QR code. The scan is decoded on the device; no image is uploaded, saved, or transmitted.
- Advertising identifiers, analytics, or tracking of any kind. There is no Google Analytics, no Facebook pixel, no advertising SDK, and no cross-app or cross-site tracking in the app.
- Payment details. You pay at the truck. The app never asks for or handles card information.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. The only parties who touch your data are the services needed to run the app:
- Our hosting provider, which runs the private server your data sits on.
- Our email provider, used only to send transactional email such as a sign-in code or password reset.
We may also disclose information if we are legally required to, or to protect the safety of a person.
Where your data is stored
On a private server located in the United States, operated for us and not shared with other businesses. It is not a third-party marketing platform, and your data is not pooled with anyone else's.
How long we keep it
- Your account and dogs: until you delete them.
- Stamps and rewards: for as long as your account exists, so your card stays accurate.
- Server logs: a short period, then overwritten.
Delete your account and the whole lot goes with it, as described below.
Your choices
- See and change your details — your profile and every dog can be edited in the app at any time.
- Delete a dog — removes that dog and its photo.
- Delete your account — available from inside the app. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, your dogs and their photos, and your stamp and reward history. This also erases any unredeemed rewards, and it cannot be undone.
- Ask us instead — email info@ericolsen.studio and we will action it.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will remove it.
Security
Traffic between the app and our server is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Passwords are stored hashed. Access to the loyalty program is restricted: only staff accounts can award a stamp or redeem a reward, and those rules are enforced on the server, not in the app — so a modified copy of the app cannot grant itself free treats.
No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. If we ever discover a breach affecting your information, we will tell you.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect, we will update this page and move the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged in the app.
